Home-Style Double Cheeseburger

|2 tbsp.||Hy-Vee Select olive oil|
|1||medium red onion, thinly sliced|
|1 lbs.||lean ground beef|
|8 slice(s)||Jarlsberg cheese, divided|
|4||Hy-Vee hamburger buns|
|½ c.||Hy-Vee barbecue sauce|
|4 slice(s)||Hy-Vee cheddar cheese|
|4||green leaf lettuce leaves|
|8 slice(s)||Hy-Vee bacon, cooked|
|½ c.||Hy-Vee mayonnaise|
- In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion slices and cook, stirring frequently, until onions are softened and begin to turn golden, about 25 minutes. Set aside.
- Preheat grill to direct heat over medium-high heat. Divide beef into 4 patties and grill for about 8 to 10 minutes, flipping once, or until temperature reaches 160 degrees. Top each patty immediately with a slice of Jarlsberg cheese.
- On bottom of each hamburger bun, spread barbecue sauce. Top each with a slice of cheddar cheese, one-fourth the caramelized onions, patty, lettuce leaf, tomato slice, additional slice of Jarlsberg and 2 bacon slices. Spread top bun with mayonnaise and add to top of bacon slices.
