Description

Lahvosh is a large, thin cracker that is typically used to top salads, or used as an appetizer or a snack when broiled with cheese. Our version of this sesame cracker bread uses Havarti cheese and a trifecta of herbs.

(15-3/4-oz.) pkg. Lahvosh cracked wheat and sesame seed cracker bread, (1 Lahvosh cracker)
1 (7-oz.) pkg. Hy-Vee sliced Havarti cheese
1 tsp. fresh rosemary, chopped
½ tsp. fresh thyme, chopped
2 tbsp. fresh basil, sliced

  • Large pizza tray or aluminum foil

Directions

  1. Preheat broiler on HIGH and set oven rack about 6-inches from top coil. Remove one Lahvosh from packaging. Place one 15-inch cracker on a large pizza tray or a large piece of aluminum foil. Place cheese slices on top of Lahvosh; tearing as necessary to fill in any spaces.

  2. Broil Lahvosh and cheese for 3 to 4 minutes, until cheese has melted and Lahvosh is lightly toasted. Top with fresh chopped herbs and serve immediately.
