Halloween Caramel Corn

½ c. Hy-Vee unsalted butter | ||
⅔ c. packed Hy-Vee dark brown sugar | ||
⅓ c. light corn syrup | ||
Hy-Vee cinnamon | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee baking soda | ||
1 (3 oz) bag Hy-Vee light butter popcorn | ||
1 (12 oz) can Hy-Vee mixed nuts | ||
1 (11 oz) bag candy corn |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
- Melt together butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda.
- Meanwhile, pop popcorn and place in a roasting pan or a large baking pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Pour caramel over the popcorn and stir well. Stir in mixed nuts.
- Bake 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in candy corn. Store in an airtight container.
