    Servings and Ingredients

    Ingredients
    Serves 4
    QuantityIngredientAdd
4 tbsp. Hy-Vee brown sugar, divided
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee cinnamon
    ½ tsp. cumin
    ¼ tsp. dried thyme
4 (4 oz each) lean boneless center-cut pork chops
    1 tbsp. Hy-Vee unsalted butter
2 ripe but firm pears, peeled, cored and thinly sliced

    Directions

    1. Combine 3 tablespoons brown sugar, cinnamon, cumin and thyme. Divide evenly among pork chops, rubbing onto both sides.
    2. Grill pork chops over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes. Flip over and continue grilling another 3 to 5 minutes or until pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
    3. Meanwhile, in a non-stick skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add pears and saute 2 minutes. Reduce heat to medium, stir in remaining 1 tablespoon brown sugar and continue sauteing an additional 5 minutes.
    4. Serve sauteed pears over grilled pork chops.
