    1 lbs. ground pork
    ½ lbs. Italian sausage
    1 tbsp. barbecue seasoning
    1 tsp. kosher salt
    1 tsp. freshly ground pepper
    4 slice(s) cheddar cheese
    4 kaiser rolls, split and toasted

    Directions

    1. Preheat grill to medium-high and lightly oil the grates.
    2. Combine pork, sausage, barbecue seasoning, salt and pepper in a bowl, tossing gently with your hands. Shape meat into 4 patties slightly larger than the split kaiser rolls to allow for shrinkage. Grill 4 to 5 minutes per side. In the last 2 minutes of grilling, top burgers with cheese and place buns on the grill. Internal temperature of the burgers should be 165 degrees when done.
    3. Serve burgers on toasted rolls topped with Summer Slaw (see recipe on hy-vee.com) and Chow Chow Sauce (see recipe on hy-vee.com) (or your favorite barbecue sauce).
