Half avocados and take out the pit. Then, put them on direct heat and grill for a couple minutes. Add salt and pepper and serve, or add grilled avocados to a guacamole recipe. Serve with an Indian Pale Ale (IPA) or a glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine.

|1 ripe Hass avocado, halved and pitted|
|1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice|
|Hy-Vee Select olive oil or non-stick cooking spray, as needed|
|Hy-Vee kosher sea salt and fresh ground Hy-Vee black pepper, to taste|
- Prepare a charcoal or gas grill for direct cooking over medium heat.
- Drizzle avocado halves with lemon juice. Lightly brush grill with olive oil or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- Gently place cut side down on grill; grill for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove and season with salt and pepper to taste.
