    Shake up a refreshing margarita with Granny Smith apples and cucumbers.

    2 Granny Smith apples, cored and chopped
    1 cucumber, sliced, plus additional for garnish
    2 oz. tequila
    1 oz. Cointreau, or Triple Sec
    1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
    Hy-Vee kosher sea salt, for rims

    • Cocktail shaker
    • Ice
    • 2 margarita glasses

    Directions

    1. Juice apples and cucumber. Add 1 cup juice, tequila, Cointreau and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Cover, and shake well. 

    2. Strain mixture into two margarita glasses rimmed with salt. Garnish with cucumber slices, if desired.
