1 tbsp. Gustare Vita olive oil
2 clove(s) garlic, minced
½ c. onion, chopped
8 oz. sliced mushrooms
12 oz. lean ground beef
½ c. red wine, or gluten-free beef broth
1 (24-oz.) jar gluten-free pasta sauce
1 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp. fresh basil, chopped
½ tsp. Hy-Vee freshly ground black pepper
½ c. Hy-Vee shredded Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté garlic and onion for 3 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook for 2 more minutes. 

  3. Add ground beef to skillet, breaking up with a wooden spoon. Cook until no longer pink, about 6 minutes. Drain.

  4. Stir in red wine or broth and cook for 2 minutes or until evaporated. Add pasta sauce, parsley, basil and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. Serve sauce with hot spaghetti and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
