    ¼ c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar
    ¼ c. water
    5 whole cloves
    Gingerbread Cocktail
    4 oz. Captain Morgan Gingerbread Spiced Rum
    1 oz. fresh lime juice
    ¼ oz. spiced simple syrup
    3 oz. ginger beer

    Directions

    1. Spiced Simple Syrup: Combine granulated sugar, water, and whole cloves in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; remove from heat. Steep 5 minutes; discard cloves.

    2. Dip rims of 2 highball glasses into corn syrup, then coat with finely crushed gingersnap cookies and coarse sugar; set aside.

    3. Add ice cubs, Gingerbread Spiced Rum, fresh lime juice and spiced simple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Cover and shake well. Pour into prepared glasses.

    4. Top each drink with ginger beer. Garnish with sugar-coated rosemary sprigs and cranberries, if desired.
