¼ c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar | ||
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee orange juice | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee ground ginger | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract | ||
4 medium pears, peeled, cored and chopped | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee flour | ||
½ c. uncooked Hy-Vee quick oats | ||
¼ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar | ||
¼ tsp. Hy-Vee ground cinnamon | ||
3 tbsp. chilled Hy-Vee butter, cut into small pieces |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar, orange juice, ginger, vanilla and pears.
- Toss gently to coat.
- Pour into a greased 8-by-8-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles small peas. Sprinkle over pear mixture.
- Bake for 35 minutes. Cool at least 10 minutes before serving.
- Serve with Hy-Vee vanilla ice cream or Hy-Vee whipped topping if desired.
