|1 (3-lbs.) boneless pork shoulder roast|
|Hy-Vee sea salt, to taste|
|Hy-Vee black pepper, to taste|
|1 (14.5-oz.) can Hy-Vee chicken broth|
|1 tbsp. liquid smoke|
|12 Hy-Vee bakery buns|
|Hy-Vee barbecue sauce, for serving|

- Season pork shoulder with salt and pepper.
In a 3-1/2-to-4-quart slow cooker, add seasoned pork shoulder, broth and liquid smoke. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
- Remove pork shoulder from slow cooker and shred coarsely with 2 forks. Serve on buns with barbecue sauce.
