Easy Marinara Sauce

For dipping bread, spreading on pizza, or tossing with pasta, consider making a double or triple batch of this marinara to use throughout the week.

1 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select olive oil | ||
1 (14.5 ounce) can Hy-Vee petite diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil, undrained | ||
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee tomato paste | ||
2 tbsp. chopped fresh basil |
Directions
- In a small saucepan, cook onion and bell pepper in olive oil over medium heat about 8 minutes or until tender. Add undrained tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer uncovered about 10 minutes. Stir in basil before serving.
