    ½ c.Hy-Vee butter, softened
    ½ c.butter-flavored shortening
    ¾ c.Hy-Vee granulated sugar
    2Hy-Vee large eggs
    1 tsp.Hy-Vee vanilla extract
    1(12-oz.) pkg Hy-Vee creamy white baking chips
    1(6.5-oz.) pkg Hy-Vee macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

    3. In a large bowl, beat butter, shortening and sugar until creamy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture, stirring until completely combined. Fold in baking chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet.

    4. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand on cookie sheet for 2 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
