    2 c. Hy-Vee old fashioned pancake & waffle mix
    ½ c. Hy-Vee yellow corn meal
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee salt
    1 ½ c. Hy-Vee 2% reduced-fat milk
    10 hot dogs, fully cooked, pork or beef

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in a large heavy-bottom pot to 350 degrees.

    2. Insert wooden sticks in hot dogs; set aside.

    3. Combine pancake & waffle mix, corn meal and salt. Stir in milk. Dip each hot dog in batter; coat well. Immediately place into preheated oil. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (165 degrees). Drain on a paper towel lined plate and cool for 5 minutes before serving.
