Classic Basil Pesto
Servings and Ingredients
|2 c. packed fresh basil leaves|
|1 clove(s) garlic|
|⅓ c. raw almonds|
|2 tbsp. lemon juice|
|½ c. olive oil|
|¼ tsp. salt|
|⅛ tsp. black pepper|
|½ c. grated Parmigiano-Reggiano|
|Raw veggies, pita bread, cooked shrimp and pasta, for serving|
- In a food processor, combine basil, garlic, almonds, lemon juice and salt and pepper. Process until smooth while drizzling in olive oil.
- Stir in cheese.
- Enjoy immediately or serve chilled. Serve with raw veggies, pita bread, cooked shrimp and pasta or use as a sandwich spread.
