A squeeze of orange adds an extra bright flavor to this smoky-sweet guac.

3 avocados, halved, seeded and peeled
Juice of 1/2 fresh lime
Squeeze of fresh orange juice
¼ tsp. ground cumin
¼ tsp. chili powder
Sea salt, to taste
2 tbsp. finely diced red onion
½ jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
2 tbsp. chopped cilantro
1 clove(s) garlic, minced

    Directions

    1. In a large bowl, place avocado, lime and orange juices, cumin, chili powder and sea salt. Mash until desired chunky consistency. Fold in red onion, jalapeno, tomatoes, cilantro and garlic. Season with more salt, if desired.

    2. Cover and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour to allow flavors to blend. Refrigerate in a covered bowl with the plastic wrap touching the surface of the guacamole to prevent browning.
