Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Bars

1 c. peanut butter | ||
¾ c. margarine, softened | ||
⅓ c. water, plus additional if needed | ||
1 egg | ||
1 tsp. vanilla | ||
3 c. uncooked oatmeal | ||
1 ½ c. flour | ||
½ tsp. baking soda | ||
1 ½ c. chocolate chips |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9-by-13-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Beat brown sugar, peanut butter and margarine until fluffy. Add water, egg and vanilla; beat well.
- Stir in oatmeal, flour and baking soda. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread in prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
