    1 c. flour
    ½ tsp. baking powder
    ⅛ tsp. baking soda
    ½ tsp. salt
    ½ c. chopped nuts
    ½ c. butter, melted
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    ½ c. chocolate chips
    ½ c. white sugar
    ½ c. brown sugar
    ½ c. cream
    ½ c. chocolate chips
    ½ tsp. vanilla

    Directions

    1. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nuts. Set aside.
    2. Cream butter and 1 cup brown sugar. Blend in egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir in flour mixture. Pour into greased 9-by-13-inch pan.
    3. Sprinkle 1/2 cup chocolate chips on top.
    4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Do not overbake.
    5. To make frosting, boil white sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar and cream in saucepan for 1 minute. Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Stir until melted. Pour over cooled brownies.
    6. Cool in pan before frosting and cutting into bars.
