Chocolate Chip Blonde Brownies

½ c. chopped nuts | ||

½ c. chocolate chips | ||
½ c. white sugar | ||
½ c. brown sugar | ||
½ c. cream | ||
½ c. chocolate chips | ||
½ tsp. vanilla |
Directions
- Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nuts. Set aside.
- Cream butter and 1 cup brown sugar. Blend in egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir in flour mixture. Pour into greased 9-by-13-inch pan.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup chocolate chips on top.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Do not overbake.
- To make frosting, boil white sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar and cream in saucepan for 1 minute. Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Stir until melted. Pour over cooled brownies.
- Cool in pan before frosting and cutting into bars.
