    ¾ c. Hy-Vee unsalted butter, softened
    1 c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar, divided
    ½ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar
    1 Hy-Vee egg
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla
    1 ¾ c. Hy-Vee flour
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee baking soda
    ¼ tsp. Hy-Vee salt
    ¼ c. Hy-Vee creamy peanut butter
    2 square(s) (1-ounce each) unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
    30 Hershey's kisses filled with caramel, unwrapped


    1. Cream butter, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed until creamy.
    2. Beat in egg and vanilla.
    3. Reduce speed to low and add flour, baking soda and salt. Beat until well mixed.
    4. Add peanut butter and chocolate to dough. Beat at low speed until well mixed.
    5. Cover and chill until firm, about 2 hours.
    6. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in remaining 1/2 cup granulated sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
    7. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies just begin to crack.
    8. Set 1 kiss in the center of each cookie. Cool cookies on wire racks.
