1 (14 oz) package beef-flavored GimmeLean
2 tsp. minced fresh ginger
1 clove(s) garlic, minced
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. rice vinegar
1 tbsp. lower-sodium soy sauce
1 c. vegetable broth
1 ½ tsp. dark sesame oil
2 tsp. minced fresh ginger
1 clove(s) garlic, minced
2 green onions, thinly sliced

Directions

  1. Mix together GimmeLean, 2 teaspoons fresh ginger and minced clove of garlic. Form into 24 (1-inch) balls.
  2. Brown balls in nonstick skillet over moderate heat.
  3. Meanwhile, combine cornstarch, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce and vegetable broth. Set aside.
  4. In medium saucepan, heat 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil over moderate heat. Add 2 teaspoons fresh ginger and 1 clove minced garlic and cook briefly. Do not let them brown.
  5. Stir in vegetable broth mixture and heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
  6. Mix in green onions and remaining 1 teaspoon sesame oil and remove from heat.
  7. Pour sauce over browned meatballs. Serve warm with toothpicks.
