2 lbs. ground beef | ||
1 lbs. bulk Italian sausage | ||
salt and black pepper, to taste | ||
2 (15 oz each) cans chili beans | ||
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste | ||
1 (15 oz) can stewed tomatoes | ||
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce | ||
1 bay leaf | ||
¼ tsp. cumin | ||
¼ tsp. cayenne pepper | ||
1 tsp. chili powder |
Directions
- Brown ground beef and Italian sausage. Drain. Place in a slow cooker.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in chili beans, tomato paste, stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce.
- Cook in slow cooker on HIGH heat for 2 hours.
- Add bay leaf, cumin, cayenne pepper and chili powder. Stir until mixed well.
- Remove bay leaf before serving.
