1 | (1.25 oz) envelope taco seasoning | |
2 | (1.375 oz each) envelopes chili seasoning mix | |
1 | large yellow onion, chopped | |
2 | jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped | |
3 | (30 oz each) cans chili beans | |
1 | (28 oz) can whole tomatoes | |
1 | (8 oz) can sliced mushrooms | |
1 | (46 oz) can tomato juice | |
crackers and shredded cheddar cheese, for serving |
Directions
- Brown ground beef. Drain. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Add taco seasoning, chili seasoning, onion and jalapeno peppers. Stir together. Simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Add chili beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and tomato juice. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
- Serve with crackers and shredded Cheddar cheese.
