2 lbs. ground beef | ||
salt, black pepper and garlic powder, to taste | ||
1 (1.25 oz) envelope taco seasoning | ||
2 (1.375 oz each) envelopes chili seasoning mix | ||
1 large yellow onion, chopped | ||
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped | ||
3 (30 oz each) cans chili beans | ||
1 (28 oz) can whole tomatoes | ||
1 (8 oz) can sliced mushrooms | ||
1 (46 oz) can tomato juice | ||
crackers and shredded cheddar cheese, for serving |
Directions
- Brown ground beef. Drain. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Add taco seasoning, chili seasoning, onion and jalapeno peppers. Stir together. Simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Add chili beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and tomato juice. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
- Serve with crackers and shredded Cheddar cheese.
