15 (1-oz. each) pieces crispy chicken strips
    2 c. Hy-Vee Select 100% pure maple syrup
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee chili powder
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee paprika
¼ tsp. Hy-Vee Hawaiian black salt

    Things To Grab

    • Large baking sheet
    • Medium saucepan

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Arrange chicken strips in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until heated through (165 degrees).

    2. Meanwhile place maple syrup, chili powder, paprika, and salt in a medium pot over medium heat. Bring mixture to boiling; reduce heat. Cook, uncovered, for 2 minutes or until mixture thickens slightly. Cool slightly for 5 to 10 minutes.

    3. Remove chicken from oven; keep warm. Place waffles in a single layer on the same baking sheet. Bake for 2 to 3 minutes or until waffles are toasted and hot.

    4. To assemble, lay three pieces of chicken on top of each waffle, top with another waffle and drizzle with syrup as desired.
