    1 c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar
    ¼ c. Hy-Vee cornstarch
    1 (3 oz) pkg Hy-Vee cherry gelatin
    ⅛ tsp. Hy-Vee ground cinnamon
    1 ¼ c. water
    2 c. frozen tart pie cherries, thawed and drained
    1 Hy-Vee 9-inch pie crust, baked and cooled
    1 c. frozen Hy-Vee whipped topping, thawed

    Directions

    1. Combine sugar, cornstarch, cherry gelatin and ground cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Stir in water. Stirring constantly, bring mixture to a boil over medium heat. Boil 1 minute.
    2. Pour drained pie cherries into pie crust.
    3. Pour cooked cherry gelatin mixture over cherries.
    4. Cool 20 minutes. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until set.
    5. Garnish with whipped topping.
