    1 ¾ c. Hy-Vee all-purpose flour
    2 c. Hy-Vee quick oats
    1 c. Hy-Vee brown sugar
    ½ c. Hy-Vee pecan pieces
    ⅔ c. Hy-Vee stick margarine
    1 ½ tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract
    1 ½ c. Hy-Vee cherry preserves
    2 tbsp. Hy-Vee powdered sugar
    Hy-Vee vanilla ice cream, optional

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9-by-13-inch pan with Hy-Vee cooking spray.
    2. Place flour, oats, brown sugar, nuts, margarine and vanilla into a mixing bowl. Mix on low speed until mixture is combined and crumbly. Press half of the oat-nut mixture into the bottom of pan.
    3. Spoon preserves into a small bowl and stir until preserves are smooth. Spread preserves over oat mixture to within 1/8-inch of the edge of the pan.
    4. Sprinkle remaining oat-nut mixture over preserves.
    5. Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
    6. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar on top of oat mixture. Serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
    7. *Hy-Vee raspberry, apricot or strawberry preserves can also be used.
