Servings and Ingredients

Ingredients
Serves 8
QuantityIngredientAdd
1 (4 oz) log soft fresh goat cheese
⅔ c. Hy-Vee dried cherries, finely chopped
¼ c. hazelnuts, toasted and chopped*
2 tsp. finely chopped tarragon
Crackers, for serving
Fresh tarragon sprigs, for garnish

Directions

  1. Cut goat cheese into 8 portions; shape each portion into a 1-inch ball. Set aside.
  2. Combine cherries, hazelnuts and chopped tarragon. Roll cheese balls in cherry mixture to coat completely.
  3. Arrange on a platter. Serve with crackers. If desired, garnish with tarragon sprigs.
  4. *Note: Hazelnuts have a papery skin that is typically removed. Toast whole nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet at 350 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. To remove the skins, rub warm nuts in a dry dish towel until skins come loose.
