Cherry Coca-Cola Pork Sliders
The sweet Cherry Coca-Cola flavor brings out the sweetness within the pork and homemade barbecue sauce.
Servings and Ingredients
|1 (3-to-5 lbs.) pork roast|
|1 (2 liter) bottle Cherry Coca-Cola|
|1 (28-oz.) can Hy-Vee tomato sauce|
|12 oz. Hy-Vee stone ground Dijon mustard|
|1 c. molasses|
|½ c. Hy-Vee apple cider vinegar|

- Roasting pan
- Aluminum foil
- Large saucepan
- Place pork roast in a roasting pan and add Cherry Coca-Cola. Cover pan with aluminum foil. Braise for 3 to 4 hours in a 300-degree oven.
- Remove pork from pan and shred with a fork. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- For the Dijon Mustard Barbecue Sauce, combine tomato sauce, mustard, molasses and vinegar in a large saucepan and heat through over medium heat until the barbecue sauce begins to thicken.
- Stir the pork into the barbecue sauce and heat through, or heat the pork through separately and serve with barbecue sauce.
