Chef Don's Homemade Cranberry Sauce

|1||(12 oz) bag fresh cranberries|
|1||(12 oz) jar red currant jelly|
- Bring cranberries, jelly and sugar to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Reduce heat to a low; continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and liquid has reduced to a syrup consistency, 20 to 25 minutes.
- Transfer to a serving dish. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.
