Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole
Servings and Ingredients
|1 (30 oz) pkg Ore Ida hash browns|
|1 (8 oz) pkg Hy-Vee shredded 2% cheddar cheese|
|1 (8 oz) container Hy-Vee sour cream|
|2 shallots, diced|
|1 tbsp. Hy-Vee butter|
|1 c. Hy-Vee skim milk|
|½ c. Hy-Vee reduced-sodium chicken broth|
|1 tsp. Hy-Vee dill weed|
|Hy-Vee salt and Hy-Vee pepper, to taste|
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a greased microwave-safe 9-by-13-inch baking dish, stir together hash browns, cheese, sour cream and shallots.
- Stir together butter, milk, chicken broth, dill weed, salt and pepper. Pour over hash browns.
- Microwave casserole uncovered on HIGH for 5 minutes. Stir. Microwave uncovered an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Transfer dish to oven and bake for 20 minutes or until top is slightly brown.
