    1 (10.5 oz) pkg silken tofu
    1 tbsp. nonfat mayonnaise
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    ¼ tsp. garlic powder
    ¼ tsp. paprika
    ⅛ tsp. Tabasco sauce
    1 c. grated Cheddar-style soy cheese (4 oz)
    small bread slices, such as cocktail rye

    Directions

    1. Whirl tofu, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and Tabasco in blender container until smooth.
    2. Add soy cheese and whirl until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides as needed.
    3. Spread about 2 tablespoons on each bread slice and place on baking sheet. Broil 4 to 5 minutes, until starting to brown.
    4. Veggie Cheese Toasties: Add 1/2 teaspoon celery seed, 2 tablespoons very finely chopped zucchini, 2 tablespoons very finely chopped green bell pepper, 2 tablespoons very finely chopped green onions and 2 tablespoons very finely chopped carrots to the blended mixture and blend in.
    5. Italian Cheese Toasties: Add 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, 1/2 teaspoon oregano, 1/4 teaspoon thyme, 1/4 teaspoon basil and 1 finely chopped medium tomato to the blended mixture and blend in.
