|4 tsp. salted caramel topping|

Strain through a fine-mesh strainer and discard popcorn; set aside.
Warm apple cider in a medium saucepan over low heat 3 to 5 minutes.
Crush additional 1 cup popcorn; place in shallow dish. Drizzle caramel topping along the rims of 4 (10-oz.) heatproof mugs. Dip rims in crushed caramel popcorn.
Pour 2-oz. popcorn-infused bourbon and 7-oz. warm cider into each prepared mug and stir to combine. Top each with 1/2 tablespoon salted butter. Garnish each with a cinnamon stick, if desired. Serve immediately.
