    8 oz. bourbon
    2 c. caramel popcorn , divided
    1 (28-oz.) carton refrigerated fresh pressed 100% apple cider
    4 tsp. salted caramel topping
    2 tbsp. Hy-Vee salted butter, divided
    4 cinnamon sticks, for garnish

    Directions

    1. Heat bourbon and 1 cup caramel popcorn in a small saucepan over very low heat for 15 minutes. 

    2. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer and discard popcorn; set aside.

    3. Warm apple cider in a medium saucepan over low heat 3 to 5 minutes. 

    4. Crush additional 1 cup popcorn; place in shallow dish. Drizzle caramel topping along the rims of 4 (10-oz.) heatproof mugs. Dip rims in crushed caramel popcorn. 

    5. Pour 2-oz. popcorn-infused bourbon and 7-oz. warm cider into each prepared mug and stir to combine. Top each with 1/2 tablespoon salted butter. Garnish each with a cinnamon stick, if desired. Serve immediately.
