Candy Covered Caramel Apples

5 medium apples | ||
1 (11 oz) pkg caramels | ||
M&Ms or candy corn, for decorating |
Directions
- Insert skewers into tops of apples.
- Unwrap caramels, discard wrappers and melt caramels in a double boiler over medium heat, stirring constantly, about 15 minutes or until melted and smooth.
- Using skewer as a handle, dip apple in melted caramel and roll bottom in candy. Place on wax paper-lined baking sheet to set. Repeat with remaining apples, caramel and candy.
