    1 batch Basic Popcorn
    ⅓ c. Hy-Vee unsalted butter
    3 tbsp. light corn syrup
    ½ c. Hy-Vee sugar
    1 (3 oz) box Hy-Vee orange-flavored gelatin

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Put popped popcorn in a large bowl.
    2. In a medium saucepan, heat butter and corn syrup over medium heat. Stir mixture until butter is melted and mixture is combined. Add sugar and gelatin and stir until just combined.
    3. Increase heat and bring to a boil. Once mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat so mixture is simmering. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Pour mixture over popped popcorn and toss with wooden spoon until all is coated. Spread popcorn on prepared pan and spread out evenly.
    4. Bake for about 5 minutes or until crunchy. Cool completely.
