Candied Bourbon Pecans

⅔ c. Hy-Vee dark brown sugar | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee unsalted butter | ||
1 tbsp. fresh ginger, finely grated | ||
⅛ tsp. Hy-Vee salt | ||
⅛ tsp. Hy-Vee black pepper | ||
2 ½ c. Hy-Vee pecan halves | ||
Cinnamon sugar, optional |

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a saucepan, bring bourbon, dark brown sugar, butter, ginger, salt and black pepper to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 5 minutes until thickened.
Stir in pecans. Pour on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until toasted. Cool and toss with cinnamon sugar, if desired.
