    ½ c. bourbon
    ⅔ c. Hy-Vee dark brown sugar
    ¼ c. Hy-Vee unsalted butter
    1 tbsp. fresh ginger, finely grated
    ⅛ tsp. Hy-Vee salt
    ⅛ tsp. Hy-Vee black pepper
    2 ½ c. Hy-Vee pecan halves
    Cinnamon sugar, optional

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. In a saucepan, bring bourbon, dark brown sugar, butter, ginger, salt and black pepper to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 5 minutes until thickened.

    3. Stir in pecans. Pour on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until toasted. Cool and toss with cinnamon sugar, if desired.
