1 c. Hy-Vee Short Cuts chopped red bell peppers
2 c. Hy-Vee no-salt-added beef broth
1 (48-oz.) container Hy-Vee oven-baked beans
2 (16-oz. each) containers Hy-Vee Brickhouse chili with beans
2 (15-oz. each) cans Hy-Vee butter beans, drained and rinsed
1 c. Hy-Vee crumbled bacon pieces
1 ½ tsp. chipotle chili powder
Smoked Gouda cheese, shredded, for serving
Green onions, sliced, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a large stockpot over medium-high heat, add ground beef and red bell peppers, breaking up any large pieces until ground beef is brown and cooked through (165 degrees); drain. 

  2. Add beef broth, baked beans, Brickhouse chili, butter beans, bacon, and chipotle chili powder. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered for 15 minutes. Serve topped with shredded Gouda cheese and sliced green onions, if desired.
