    1 (6 to 7 lb) bone-in standing rib roast
    3 tbsp. hot pepper sauce
    2 tsp. Hy-Vee garlic powder
    2 tbsp. Cajun seasoning

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
    2. Place rib roast, rib-side-down, into a roasting pan fitted with a rack. Rub outside of roast with hot pepper sauce and sprinkle with garlic powder and Cajun seasoning.
    3. Roast, uncovered, 25 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue roasting to the desired degree of doneness, about 18 minutes per pound for rare and 22 minutes per pound for medium. Let stand at least 20 minutes before carving.
