Broiled Italian Tomato Halves
Servings and Ingredients
|3||large tomatoes, halved and seeded|
|1 tbsp.||Hy-Vee Select extra-virgin olive oil|
|2 tsp.||Hy-Vee Italian seasoning|
|⅓ c.||Hy-Vee shredded mozzarella cheese|
- Place tomato halves on a greased broiler pan, cut-side up.
- Combine olive oil and seasoning in a small bowl. Brush evenly over tomatoes
- Broil about 6 inches from heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle each tomato half with about 1 tbsp shredded mozzarella cheese. Broil 1 to 2 minutes more until cheese is lightly browned.
- Serve immediately.
