    4 c.fresh broccoli florets (about 1 pound)
    ¼ c.chopped Hy-Vee bacon slices
    3 clove(s)garlic, thinly sliced
    2 c.sliced cremini, baby Portobello or button mushrooms
    Kosher salt, to taste
    Red pepper flakes, to taste

    Directions

    1. In a saucepan, cook broccoli in boiling salted water until tender. Drain; set aside.
    2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet cook bacon over medium heat about 5 minutes or until brown and crispy. Drain off excess fat. Add garlic to bacon in skillet; cook for 30 seconds. Add mushrooms to skillet; cook and stir for 3 minutes or until they begin to brown. Stir in broccoli. Season to taste with salt and red pepper flakes.
