Description

Quick and easy side dish. The lemon sauce can also be used on top of other steamed vegetables, such as green beans, yellow squash or cauliflower.

2 lbs. broccoli, chopped
1 c. water
juice of 2 fresh lemons
¼ c. water
1 tbsp. cornstarch or potato starch for Passover

Directions

  1. Steam broccoli over 1 cup water in a large pot for several minutes until tender.
  2. Place lemon juice, 1/4 cup water and cornstarch in a separate saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sauce thicken, about 2 minutes.
  3. Serve sauce over steamed broccoli while warm.
