    1 (750 ml) bottle red wine
    6 oz. grenadine, divided
    4 oz. dry curaçao
    2 oz. gin
    2 oz. fresh orange juice
    2 tbsp. red sanding sugar
    1 (12-oz.) can or bottle seltzer water

      1. Combine red wine, 4 oz. grenadine, curaçao, gin and orange juice in a 1-1/2-qt. pitcher; stir.

      2. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

      3. To rim glasses, place remaining 2 oz. grenadine on a small plate. Place sanding sugar on another small plate. Dip rims of 6 (12-oz.) tall glasses in grenadine, then dip in sanding sugar. Fill glasses with ice.

      4. Pour sangria into prepared glasses. Top off with seltzer water.
