    ½ lbs.bittersweet chocolate, chopped
    ½ c.Hy-Vee unsalted butter
    2Hy-Vee HealthMarket eggs
    ½ tsp.Hy-Vee pure vanilla extract
    1 c.Hy-Vee sugar
    ½ c.Hy-Vee flour
    ¼ c.unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 c.Bing cherries, pitted and quartered

    Directions

    1. Slowly melt the chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler.
    2. Whisk together the eggs, vanilla and sugar until smooth. Add the melted chocolate and whisk until incorporated. Sift together the flour and cocoa and fold in.
    3. Fold in the cherries.
    4. Spread the batter into a parchment-lined 8-inch square pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, or until just done.
    5. Let cool in the pan and cut into 2-inch squares.
