    1 ½ lbs. lean ground beef
    1 ½ tbsp. Hy-Vee chili powder
    1 (16-oz.) jar Hy-Vee taco sauce, divided
    1 (18 ct.) pkg. Hy-Vee hard taco shells
    Hy-Vee shredded cheddar cheese, optional
    shredded lettuce, optional
    diced tomatoes, optional
    chopped onion, optional

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    2. To prepare filling, brown ground beef over medium heat; drain well. Stir in chili powder and 1 1/2 cups taco sauce. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.

    3. Meanwhile, remove taco shells from plastic overwrap. Place shells on a baking sheet and warm for 4 to 5 minutes or until shells are crisp. Shells may also be microwaved for 30 seconds on HIGH.

    4. Divide taco filling and taco sauce among warmed shells and top, if desired, with shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and chopped onions. Serve with remaining taco sauce, if desired.
