    3 large green bell peppers
    1 tsp. salt
    ⅛ tsp. black pepper
    1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    ⅓ c. uncooked oats
    1 egg, beaten
    ⅓ c. ketchup
    ¼ c. finely chopped onion
    1 ½ lbs. ground beef, cooked and drained
    12 tsp. ketchup, divided

    Directions

    1. Cut green bell peppers in half lengthwise and seed.
    2. Cook bell pepper halves in boiling, salted water for 5 minutes. Invert and drain halves thoroughly.
    3. Combine salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, oatmeal, egg, 1/3 cup ketchup and onion. Add to ground beef and mix thoroughly. Pack approximately 1/2 cup meat mixture into each pepper half. Place in an 8-by-12-inch baking dish.
    4. Top each meat mixture in the pepper halves with 2 teaspoons ketchup.
    5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
