    2 lbs.stew meat
    3 tbsp.Hy-Vee canola oil
    3 c.water
    1 package(s)Hy-Vee beef stew seasoning
    5 c.chopped vegetables (potatoes, carrots, celery or onions)
    2 c.Hy-Vee frozen sweet peas
    Salt, to taste
    Black pepper, to taste

    Directions

    1. Lightly flour stew meat. Brown in Hy-Vee canola oil.

    2. Stir in water and beef stew seasoning. Bring to a boil

    3. Cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 1-1/2 hours.

    4. Add chopped vegetables. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender, about 1 hour.

    5. Add Hy-Vee frozen sweet peas during the last 5 minutes of cooking time. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
