    Servings and Ingredients

    Ingredients
    Serves 4
    QuantityIngredientAdd
    1 c. Organic Valley half-and-half
    3 Hy-Vee large organic eggs
2 tbsp. honey, warmed in microwave for 20 seconds
    ¼ tsp. Hain salt
    ½ tsp. Simply Organic cinnamon
8 (1/2-inch thick) slices day-old or stale bread
2 tbsp. Organic Valley butter, divided
1 (16 oz) bag frozen Cascadian Farm mixed berries, thawed
    2 tbsp. organic sugar

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In medium size mixing bowl, whisk together the half-and-half, eggs, honey, salt and cinnamon.
    2. Dip bread into mixture, allowing to soak for 30 seconds on each side. Remove to a cooling rack set in a sheet pan; allow to sit for 1 to 2 minutes.
    3. Over medium-low heat, melt 1/2 tablespoon of butter in a saute pan. Place 2 slices of bread at a time into the pan; cook until golden brown, approximately 2 to 3 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining 6 slices.
    4. Meanwhile, combine berries and sugar in a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until desired syrup consistency. Serve over French toast.
