1 Hy-Vee large egg | ||
3 tbsp. Hy-Vee canola oil | ||
1 ⅓ c. Hy-Vee club soda | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee unsalted butter | ||
½ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar | ||
2 medium bananas, peeled and sliced | ||
Hy-Vee cinnamon | ||
2 tbsp. banana rum liquor | ||
Hy-Vee English walnuts, optional |

Directions
- Stir baking mix, egg, canola oil and club soda until combined.
- Pour about 1/2 cup onto center of hot, greased waffle iron; close lid.
- Bake until steaming stops; carefully remove waffle. Repeat with remaining batter.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar. Stir in sliced bananas and cook until heated through.
- Remove from heat; sprinkle with cinnamon. Stir in rum.
- Serve rum sauce over waffles. Sprinkle with additional cinnamon and walnuts, if desired.
