1 apple, washed and cored
1 tsp. Hy-Vee butter, softened
1 tbsp. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar
1 pinch(es) Hy-Vee ground cinnamon
1 tbsp. uncooked Hy-Vee quick cooking oats
2 tsp. Hy-Vee chopped walnuts
1 tbsp. fat-free caramel sauce, optional

Directions

  1. Place apple in a small microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes or until tender.
  3. In a separate small bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, oats and walnuts. Spoon into the center of the apple.
  4. Let sit a couple minutes before eating. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
