    1 Hy-Vee cake mix, your favorite, prepared according to package directions
    3 tbsp. Hy-Vee prepared frosting, your favorite

    • 1/2-pint-size mason jar with lid

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven and prepare cake batter according to package directions.

    2. Place 2 tablespoons cake batter into a 1/2-pint-size mason jar. Place mason jar onto a sheet pan and bake 10 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Remove cake from oven; cool completely. 

    3. When cake is completely cool, top with frosting. Add mason jar lid to seal shut. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
