4 slice(s)Hy-Vee bacon, cooked and chopped, divided
¼ lbs.Gouda cheese, diced
1medium red onion
4Hy-Vee American cheese singles
4Hy-Vee Bakery onion rolls
4large lettuce leaves

  • Meat thermometer

Directions

  1. Preheat a charcoal or gas grill to medium heat. Divide each patty in half and reshape each into a patty. On top of 4 patties, put one-fourth of the chopped bacon and one-fourth of the diced Gouda cheese.

  2. Top each with a second patty and press the sides together tightly. Grill until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.

  3. Slice onion and place on grill for 3 to 4 minutes until grill marks form, turning once.

  4. Top grilled burger with slice of cheese and grilled onions. Serve each on onion roll with lettuce leaf.
