Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add gin, lemon juice, Luxardo, creme de violette, and simple syrup to cocktail shaker. Cover and shake until well combined and chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe glass or martini glass. Add 1 dash of bitters to the cocktail and garnish with a brandied cherry, if desired.
